Survivors include her children, Frances Hubbel, Sandra (Mike) Diaz, William II “Bill” (Dilenia) Riles, Patricia Riles, Robert (Joy) Martin; grandchildren, Amanda and Michael Diaz, Debbie, Francis, and Maggie Mahan, Jonathan, Rachel, and Abby Riles, James Moser, Caitlynn Riles, Lovis Pike; great grandchildren: Diana, Melinda, and Emma Haines and one sister, Sandy Higdon and her sister-in-law Ruth (Riles) Brown (Paul). She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William "Bill" Riles; daughter, Deborah (Terry) Mahan and son in law, Robert Hubbel and her siblings, Marie Whitehurst, Jerry Whitehurst, Preston Whitehurst, and Kerry Stephens.
Her motto was God, family and fishing. She was a native of Plant City. Loved fishing, the beach, and outdoors.She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She lived a very full life traveling with her military husband and family. When they retired they returned to Plant City. She worked for JCPenney's and Walmart and made so many new friends. She always enjoyed an new adventure and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. There was never any stranger who was a stranger to mom. She loved sharing stories with people. Her smile was so infectious and you couldn't help but love her. Her love for God, her family, and for life was always so evident. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, February 15, 2019 at Wells Memorial, 1903 W Reynolds St, Plant City, FL. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Whitehurst Road Baptist Church, 901 Whitehurst Road, Plant City, FL 33563. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Florida National Cemetery.
