She was the second of four children and was born on December 16th, 1947, to William and Dorothy Harris. Betty spent her childhood in Tampa, Florida, and graduated from King High school. After dedicating 30 years of her life to serving the community, she retired from the Hillsborough County Clerk of Courts, where she worked in both the Tampa and Plant City offices.
Betty is preceded in death by her daughter, Michele Tomas, and her sisters, Nancy Wright and Judy Polz. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Dodi Ellerbee; her grandchildren, Heather Hicks, Judy Kozacek, Joey Tomas, and Maddie Tomas; two great-grandchildren, Zander and Logan; her brother, Bill Harris; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
