Brian was born on February 18, 1944, in Stockton, California. He honorably served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he focused his time on his family, hobbies, and love of sports.
An active sportsman, Brian enjoyed bowling, playing pool, fishing, and shuffleboard. He was an avid golfer who achieved two holes-in-one during his lifetime. Brian was also a dedicated fan of the Oakland A’s and the San Francisco 49ers. One of his favorite pastimes was traveling to baseball stadiums across the United States with his son, Matthew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers.
Brian is survived by his children, Tammy (Chris) Morgan, Stacie Lichty, and Matthew Kohler; his grandchildren, Megan Comfort and Elijah Chalmers; and his great-grandchild, Alexis Comfort.
