

Carolyn Lawson, age 80, of Plant City, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025. Born into a hardworking migrant farming family, Carolyn grew up learning to appreciate the simple joys in life. She carried that mindset with her always—finding pride in the little things, valuing people over possessions, and meeting each day with quiet strength.
Carolyn was well known in her community as the owner and operator of Lawson’s Hardware, a place where neighbors found not only tools and supplies but a warm smile and a sense of belonging. Her dedication to her work and her community made the store a treasured part of Plant City for many years.
Outside of work, Carolyn loved traveling with her sisters, especially on their adventures to various casinos, where laughter and stories were always guaranteed.
She is survived by her granddaughters; her daughter-in-law Karen Lawson. Eleven great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly; three brothers; and two sisters. Their memories of her kindness, resilience, and gentle spirit will carry on for generations.
Carolyn is welcomed into heaven by her parents, her husband Johnny Sr. and her two sons, Joey and Johnny Jr. who preceded her in death. The legacy she leaves behind is one of love, perseverance, and the beauty of a simple, well-lived life.

A committal service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Plant City, Florida, on November 20, 2025, from 10:00 am.
