

He loved life, his family, and gardening. He served three years in the United States Army during World War II.
He retired from his job of supervisor at Plant City Steel after 28 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Maggie Griffin, step-dad Don Pate, Sr., and brothers Don and Coy Pate.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Griffin, Ruby Griffin, mother of his children:Yvonne Naecker (Buddy), Virginia Carlton (John), Norma Kay Hancock, Sandra Thrasher (Ronnie), Sherry Regan (Joe), and Gary Griffin (Tami), and step-children: Carolyn Byres (Harry), James Easters (Elaine), Greg Easters (Donna), and a total of 59 grandchildren as well as many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Wells Memorial Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to service.
Interment to follow service at Springhead Cemetery.
