

PLOOR, Francis H., age 92, of Brandon, FL passed away on October 30, 2016. Frank was born in Suitland, Maryland to Frank W. and Ida E. (Hancock) Ploor on January 24, 1924. Frank was of the Catholic Faith. He was a US Army Captain in WWII and served in North Africa and Italy. He also served in the Reserves for several years. He and his wife, Marjorie, moved to Miami, Florida in 1954. There, he was the Director of Revenue, Accounting and Financial Control with Eastern Airlines for over 40 years until his retirement. He was also a Zoning Chairman for the City of Virginia Gardens in the Miami area. They moved to Valrico, Florida in 1989. Frank loved his family and spending time with his granddaughters. He was also an avid golfer and served as a Marshal in the Doral Open for over thirty years.
Frank was preceded in death by his brother, William Ploor. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marjorie Ploor; son, Richard Ploor and wife, Deborah; brother Lawrence Ploor and wife, Martha; sister, Kay Small and husband, Frank; two grandchildren, Allison and Sarah Ploor; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
