Frank Andriano

(Frank “The Italian Stallion”)

Our beloved father, Francesco Antonio Andriano, who had just celebrated his 90th birthday, passed away on July 31, 2026. He was born on June 13, 1936, in Giovinazzo, Bari, Italy—the “Boot” of Italy.

Francesco—known to many as Frank—was the eldest of nine children. As a teenager, he arrived in New York, and due to his circumstances he didn’t have the opportunity to spend much time in school. But Frank more than made up for it with his undeniable street smarts. He had a talent for clever tactics and schemes that helped him navigate life and succeed. He was a self-made man who truly lived the American Dream.

Frank worked hard and built a life he could be proud of. He helped run a successful chicken business, and he also ran egg delivery routes, earning respect wherever he went. He never met a stranger. He always had a smile and advice to share—free of charge. And as he liked to say, he was a “tough cannoli” who called himself “The Italian Stallion.”

He was also, at heart, a big kid. The kind of man who would do the press-a-finger-to-your-chest and ask, “Hey, whatcha got on your shirt?” Then, once you looked down, he’d swipe up and flick your nose—bringing laughter and warmth with every encounter.

Frank will be missed by many. He touched countless lives through his love of soccer, where he was involved as a player, coach, and referee. He even turned one cow pasture into a regulation-size soccer field used by many local soccer organizations. He was equally devoted to his family’s life and work, including their chicken farm, and to his community and friendships—especially at The Hard Rock Casino.

Frank loved our mother, Dorothy, so deeply. He always considered himself married to her, even though she has been gone for 19 years. When the family looks at old photos, Frank’s smile is brightest when he is looking at her. After Dorothy passed away, he visited “Dot’s” grave almost daily and never took off his wedding ring.

Francesco is survived by his three daughters: Denise & husband Harry, Camille-(Cooky)& husband Jeff, and his "favorite" Michele(Mikey) & husband Gary.

Frank was blessed with three grandchildren: Katherine, Alex, Taylor, and his three great-grandchildren: Andriana (Andi), Cameron, and Logan.

In every role he played—father, husband, grandfather, friend, coach, mentor, and “Italian Stallion”—Francesco Antonio Andriano brought kindness, energy, and laughter to the people around him. He will be remembered always, and loved forever.

In Lieu of flowers, you can donate in Frank’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, The American Heart Association, or The Diabetes Association.
