Gloria J Miller Henderson

Gloria J. Henderson, a loving wife, mother and friend, died March 4, 2011. Born June 3, 1932, in Lady Lake, FL, Gloria lived in Polk County before moving to Valrico, FL almost five years ago. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Leslie and Marie Miller of Land O’ Lakes, FL; brothers, Calvin Miller of Absecon, NJ and Leslie (Buddy) Miller, Lutz, FL; sister, Frances Young of Saint Augustine, FL; and son, George Best of Gainesville, FL. Survivors include her husband and best friend of 60 years, Ward; sons, Alan Henderson of Valrico, FL and Richard Henderson and his wife, Teresa of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Nancy Smith and her husband, Donny of Valrico, FL; brother: James Miller; sisters: Catherine (Kay) Mervitz and Nancy Ellison;12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and her furry companion, Honey. She was loved by all who knew her and will truly be missed. Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 and the memorial service will be at 10am Wednesday, March 9 at Wells Memorial Funeral Home in Plant City. Graveside service will follow at 3pm at the Lady Lake Cemetery in Lady Lake, FL. Eat, meet and greet will take place at 3608 Sugarloaf Lane, Valrico, FL around 6pm.
