CARLISLE, Hillard "Tony", age 86, passed away on November 6, 2012 at Sun City Center Hospice House. He was a lifelong resident of Florida, born in Laurel Hill on September 24, 1926 to John and Mary (McCoy) Carlisle.
Tony was a US Army Veteran, and worked at Continental Can Company in Tampa. Mr. Carlisle also was owner/operator of his own trucking business.
He is preceded in death by two sons, David Mitchell and Dennis Wayne.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Maggie, three daughters, Donna Lewis (Michael), Melanie Knox (Joseph), Linda Carlisle; twelve grandchildren, Dennis, Jeff, David, Jill Marie, Christopher, Kevin, Eric, Greg, Cassie, Chelsea, Magan, and Kelsey; eight great grandchildren, Gracie, Jesse James, Arya, Mason, Audrey, Adalyn, Christopher, and Emily.
Funeral Services for Mr. Carlisle will be on Friday November 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at Wells Memorial & Event Center. Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 6 -8 pm at Wells. Burial will take place at Salem Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
