We will miss Jim, he was the best jokester we have ever known. The times we have spent with Jim and Joyce traveling, golfing trips in mountains and our Publix/family get together dinners to just catch up on all our lives will be missed. One fond memory we have is the great cruise the 4 of us took to Iceland. The fun and laughter was never ending. This loss is hard but knowing Jim and Joyce are once again together makes it a little easier. R.I.P dear FRIEND!!! To the family please know our thoughts and prayers are with you all....

Mr. Wally what can I say you are an awesome manager and a fun guy to be around . You always made the customers welcome in your store. You will be greatly missed. Until we see each other again, Heaven has gained another angel.

I’m grieving for Wally, one of the most influential people in my life. He taught his associates so much more than job responsibilities at Publix, he taught life lessons that I continue to think about to this day. He left a beautiful legacy in his family that he adored, and also an amazing legacy in Publix. The respect and loyalty he earned from his associates and customers are indescribable. I look forward to meeting him in heaven to hear his same stories over and over again. And I may just ask him one more time why he scheduled me to close on Christmas Eve for 17 consecutive years. lol. I do cherish that time I had with him. I find peace that him and Joyce are reunited for eternity. My prayers are with his family.

Wally was the best Publix manager ever . He truly inspired many associates and had a way with the customers that exceeded Mr. George’s expectations . I have so many memories of my years working under Wally , and am blessed to have remained a friend after his retirement .
