Linda Kay Goebel

Goebel, Linda Kay, 73 of Plant City entered into rest on August 10, 2020. She was born in Muncie, Indiana on January 27, 1947 to Dewey Calvin and Opal Moorehead Mongold. Linda was one of the most compassionate, loving people you would ever have the privilege to meet. Her ability to bring out a positive outcome for anyone in need was amazing. Although she was fun and “care giving” to be around she also had the heart of a tiger when the situation warranted. She didn’t care who the person in authority was, she didn’t give up until the situation was resolved in the favor of the person in need. Those who were privileged to know and love Linda will take a bit of her optimistic attitude that life can be worth living for everyone. Her hobbies included reading, going to the beach, listening to music by Neil Diamond and Barry Manilow, helping others and most importantly spending time with her beloved Family. She was a Licensed Nationwide Insurance Agent and was the President of a family owned manufacturing company. Other titles that she held include, Past Board of Director for Hillsborough County Habitat for Humanity, Navy Ombudsman, Red Cross Volunteer Officer, and Past Board of Director Walden Lake East Homeowners Association. She is survived by her husband, Richard Goebel; sons; Michael Badders, Jerry Badders, Todd Lackey, and Kevin Langlois, grandchildren; Sarah, Alyson, Mitchell, Mary, Mickey, Forest, Ashley, Joshua, and Marissa, great-grandchildren; James, Josiah, Markos, Jakob, Lily, Jackie, Samantha, and Damian, and many friends. Though the loss of Linda is devastating and consuming, we would have wanted Linda to stay with us, but sadly that was not to be. We must take comfort in knowing that she is freed from the bonds of this world – free from heartache, pain, sorrow, and worries. She has a new life and with it comfort, security, and joy. Linda will now look over all of us until we are united again. A visitation will take place on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Wells Memorial Funeral Home, 1903 W.
