West, Linda "Jane", 68 of Plant City, FL, died peacefully in her home on Feb. 27, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her final days were spent surrounded by family. Jane was born February 02, 1944, in Slaton, TX. to Courtney & Vivian Teague Sanders, of Morton, TX, where she grew up and attended Morton High School. Her family was involved in farming in West Texas where her father ran a successful agribusiness. While living in Morton she happily raised her two children and was actively involved in all of their activities. She later moved to Harligen, TX , and then to South Padre Island where she worked as an interior designer. After marrying Vernon West, they made their home in Norman, OK. She moved to FL in 2011, to be near her son and his family. Giving up was never a choice for Jane - her determination & courage awed many. She loved art, the ocean, salt-water fishing, and experiencing new restaurants. Her love for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds. Jane possessed warmth, dignity, true grit, and a sense of humor - she could giggle like a school. She wil be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Jane is survived by her son & his wife, Shane & Susan Claunch, grandson, Nathan Claunch of Plant City; daughter Julie Kopp and granddaughter Lily Jane Kopp of Austin, TX; her sister Ann Murrah and husband David Murrah of Rockport, TX; and many nephews, nieces, cousin,, and long-time friends.
