Lisandre Martinez

Martinez, Lisandre, age 51, of Lakeland, FL passed away on February 28, 2016. Lisandre was born in New York, NY to Robert Little and Susanna Ramirez. She was a member of Victory Church in Lakeland, FL and spent much of her time as an educator for children both in and out of the church. She studied Child Behavioral Science and went to school to become a Surgical Technician. Her love was dancing, cooking, and spending time with her family. She will also be remembered by her famous sweet potato soufflé and her amaretto cake.

Lisandre was preceded in death by her brother, Osvaldo “Pichy” Acosta and her uncle, Jose Alvarez. She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Hector Martinez; son, Phillip Jones; daughters, Ebony Acosta (Lakita McDowell), Alexandria Jones (Valdemar Martinez), Samantha Jones (Meghan Tims); mother, Susanna Ramirez; brothers, Roberto Little and Roberto Rosa; sister, Susan Rosa (Jose Morales); and grandchildren, Nia and Samara Weatherholtz and Julien Martinez.

A visitation will be on Thursday, March 10, 2016, 10am-12pm at Victory Church in Lakeland, FL with a funeral service at 12pm. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Plant City, FL.
