Louise Reynolds McCrosky Tussey of the Bridges in Riverview, FL, formerly of Kentucky, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019, at the Hawthorne Health and Rehab Center of Brandon, FL. Born on December 4, 1924, in Mercer County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Fay Beckham McCrosky and Thelma Raphael Reynolds McCrosky. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky State Teacher’s College in 1946 with a degree in Business Administration specializing in bookkeeping.
She married Coleman Russell Tussey on June 15, 1947; they lived in McKee, KY and Richmond, KY before coming to Florida. Her husband preceded her in death on July 22, 1999. While she occasionally worked outside the home, her life revolved around her husband and her family. She was an accomplished seamstress, cook and quilter and enjoyed other needlework, crafts, painting and genealogy. She was a member of Turkey Creek First Baptist Church, Plant City, FL.
She is survived by her two daughters: Billie (O. W.) Conrad of Falmouth, KY and Jean (David) Elliott of Plant City, FL; grandchildren: Kevin (Sonya) Conrad, Kara (Silas)Elliott-Jordan, Debra Conrad, Ross (Caitlin) Elliott; great grandchildren: Hannah Conrad, Matthias Conrad, Isaac Conrad, Keaton Conrad, Kolston Conrad, Kyleigh Elliott, Casey Jordan and Caden Jordan. She was preceded in death by granddaughter Elizabeth Elliott.
Interment will be at Bushnell National Cemetery where her husband is buried. There will be a private memorial gathering for the family.
