Malcolm "Max" Lane, age 71, of Lakeland, FL, passed away on Saturday ,May 15, 2010, of heart failure. He was born in Avon Park, FL and was a lifetime area resident. Mr. Lane was a furniture repairman for W.S. Badcock Corp. He was a Army Veteran serving in Vietnam as a Military Policeman obtaining the rank of Sergeant. Survivors include his wife, Grace Lane of Lakeland, FL, four daughters: Mary B. Garrett, Carolyn S. Williams, Linda G. Hart, Shirley A. Gray; one sister, Mary Johnson, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A visitation will take place from 12 pm to 1 pm with a funeral service to begin at 1 pm Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Wells Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Plant City, FL.
