Marie May Brainard

Brainard, Marie M., age 98, of Plant City, FL passed away on June 19, 2016 in Zephyrhills, FL. Marie was a school teacher most of her life, teaching multiple grades and substituting as well. She also spent a lot of time just being “Mom”. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and spent some of her free time volunteering in the church.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Brainard; infant daughter, Margaret Ann Brainard; brother, Elwood Satterlee; sisters, Delores Rice and Marian Wilkinson; and granddaughter, Pam Brainard. She is survived by her sons, Chuck Layton Brainard and Robert Francis Brainard; daughter, Joyce Barnes; sister, Marjorie Pilbeam; five grandchildren, Paul Brainard, Tonya Raburn, Annette Barnes, Walter Barnes, Amanda Brainard; and three great grandchildren, Abby Brainard, Lily Brainard and Kara Raburn.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, July 9, 2016, 4pm at East Pasco Seventh Day Adventist Church, 7333 Dairy Rd, Zephyrhills, FL 33542. Condolences may be made online at www.wellsmemorial.com.
