She was born on December 12, 1936 in Plant City, Florida, to Pete and Helen Crum. She married the love of her life, Jimbo Campbell in 1956 who preceded her in death in 1994. She received her degree in Elementary Education from Florida State University and after a fulfilling full-time job of raising her children, she taught at Springhead Elementary until her retirement in 2008.
Affectionately called Mama Jo, she was known for her fierce loyalty and love for family and friends. She treasured every moment with her family and loved her weekly game of bridge with lifelong friends. Mama Jo took great pride in her children and grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to celebrate their successes, big and small. Never far from her calendar filled with important dates, she never missed the opportunity to send a card or gift to all she cared about. She had a great love of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and time at Lake Louise with her family. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her four children, Jolynn, Lisa, Craig and Maurice; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, sister Maureen and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Wells Memorial Funeral Home in Plant City on Saturday April 17th at 11:00 AM. Donations can be made to Bruton Memorial Library.
