Meredith Grace

Meredith Elspeth Grace, born July 23, 1961 in Elma, NY died peacefully on Saturday, September 18th, 2021 at Lakeland Regional Hospital in Lakeland, FL from complications of Covid-19. She was 60 years old.

Meredith attended school in East Aurora, NY, and was an exchange student in Chile in her junior year of high school. She later settled in Florida with her two children, where she worked with her father at his telecommunications company, Grace Wire and Communications. In 2004, she began work for Johnson Controls as a fire alarm inspector and stayed with the company for 18 years. Meredith loved animals, especially the great danes she cared for throughout her life.

Meredith was predeceased by her daughter, Janet Gonzalez, her mother, Jaqueline Grace, and her sister and brother in law, Victoria Halstead and Preston Halstead. She is survived by her son, Jarrod Gonzalez, her father, Edward Grace, her niece, Kate Halstead, and her nephews, John and Justin Halstead, and her great dane, Petunia.

Visitation with family and friends will be 10 am to 11 am on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 with a funeral service at 11 am at Wells Memorial Funeral Home in Plant City, Florida.
