I was a student in Miss Kell's (her name then) classes at PCHS (1982 grad). I took every class she taught. She had a tremendous influence on my life and I will never forget her. She encouraged my interest in classical music and even loaned me LPs to take home. She was very soft-spoken and highly intelligent. After all these years, I can still remember the sound of her voice. She also had tremendous faith and strength - she shared a story once about being in a group that took bibles into the USSR to give to the people there. I had (have) the utmost respect for her and I feel honored to have been one of her students. I'm so sorry I didn't know about her passing until now.

I just heard this news I regret that I was not aware sooner. She was the most brilliant, truly Renaissance teacher I ever had-high school or college. She was one of the ones who enters your life for a season, and you are never the same. Her appreciation for and knowledge of good music and the humanities as well was most refreshing in this desolate region of the country for the arts. She was relentless in her endeavor of teaching English in the mission field of Plant City as well.
Requiem Aeternam dona eis, Domine
et lux perpetua luceat eis:
Requiescant in pace. . Amen.
You will be missed until then.

She was one of those few teachers whose class I looked forward to in high school. I felt like I was experiencing art and history rather than learning it. I feel so lucky to have known her.

My dear friend and colleague, goodbye. I will always remember the pre-school day conversations in the old faculty lounge. The faculty weekend "unwind" trips to Boyce's cabin in Ocala. Your tales of travel and sights seen. Your great kindness and humor. Our continual success in the faculty vs. student "Brain Bowls"...where you never needed much help from the rest of us. Later, our chance meetings and retirement conversations at Publix. Please excuse me from attending your memorial service. I'll be doing what you always enjoyed doing...traveling to Europe. Again, goodbye friend. J.Harris

I was very saddened to hear that Patsy had passed away. I will always remember what a caring person she was. I always looked forward to seeing her in Florida and on her visits to our home. I loved to play with her dog, Robbie. She would have him do tricks and peep through the blinds as if someone was in the yard. My family and I loved going places with her and having her go to the beach with us. She was a big part of our family and I will really miss her.

Patsy was an amazing person and she will be missed by many. She was such a dear friend to my parents and they cherish every visit they had with her. I met Patsy when I was only four and would often see her on our summer vacations to Florida. I was always so eager to see her each time and I was very entertained by her interesting stories shared with us. I was so intrigued with her description of places and cultures she encountered. Her smile and sweet laughter will stay etched in the fond memories of my childhood. She was truly a sweet lady who loved life, fulfilled many of her dreams and positively influenced the lives of all those blessed to have met her. She will be missed greatly by all of us who loved her as we recall, with fondest, the many memories of her.

Ms. Kell was my English teacher in 11th grade and my Humanities teacher is 12th. She was an amazing teacher who I still have fond feelings for now 30 years later. She was a different kind of cat, and I adored her.

I met Patsy and her mother in 1974 when they were in KY attending a funeral. Throughout the years since then, we've visited each other many times and talked for hours on the phone. She accompanied us to Disney World with our kids, to Clear Water Beach, to Kapok Tree Inn and one of our favorite things -a Greek restaurant in Tarpon Springs. She was always so gracious. We laughed so hard we cried and let the tears flow on other occasions. Mike and my son and daughter and I will always cherish the memory of her.

My life has been greatly enriched by knowing and being close friends with "Patsy" over a period of 54 years. She had a remarkable love for her parents taking them on long trips and caring for them till their deaths. She was a very dedicated teacher, and was able to share her experiences of European travels, of the many museums and galleries she visited. She was raised in a Christian home and knew Jesus Christ as her savior. We will always remember our special friendship with her. We are told by Jesus Christ, "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." (John 14:1-3) I look forward to visiting Patsy in her beautiful mansion.
