Being a man of great faith, the family takes great comfort in knowing that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”
Born on April 26, 1932, in Rockford, Illinois, Rolf served our country in the United States Army and enjoyed a long career with the Prudential Insurance Company, before retiring to enjoy time with his family when he moved to Florida.
Rolf enjoyed golfing, studying his Bible, and serving in various ministry roles at church. He also liked sharing hospitality, conversations, and laughter with his friends, neighbors, and family. With a ready smile and compassionate kindness, his love for Jesus Christ was evident to everyone.
Rolf is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Beverly, along with two sons from a previous marriage, Stephen (Linda) Ericksen and Mike Ericksen and three children from Beverly’s first marriage: Bradley Dawson (Ruth), Sheryl Dawson and Mark Dawson (Lynne) He was also a beloved grandfather and uncle to his many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
