

She was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Pennsylvania and Tampa for over 60 years and also served as a Hospice volunteer for over 20 years. She retired from Publix and while working there she was a cashier, the “Cookie Lady” and a Floral Designer.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, David Taylor, Sr., son, David Taylor, Jr.; son-in-law, Charles Mobley, III; Granddaughter, Kimberly Shuman McCormick; and seven siblings, James, Nancy, Leon Jr., Samuel, Shirley, Jerry, and Mary.
She is survived by her daughters, Dianna Shuman (John) of Catawissa, Pennsylvania; Denise Mobley of Jennings, Florida; grandchildren, Jack Shuman, Angela Harris (Cory), Ashley Taylor (Jose), Charles Mobley IV (Samantha); great grandchildren, Payton, Hayden, Kali, Kyra, Chace, Beatrix, Evelyn, Juniper, Alina, Madison, Myah, and Adeline; as well as many nieces and nephews across the United States.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Wells Memorial, 1903 W. Reynolds Street, Plant City, Florida 33563 beginning at 11:00 a.m. Romaine’s favorite color was Royal Blue. The family will be wearing it in honor of her and invite anyone to wear it also if so choose.
