"Ruth" Evelyn Roberts Chancy went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 13, 2011. She was a lifelong resident of Plant City, Florida. She was a retired telephone operator, Co-Founder of Chancy's Catfish Shack in Plant City , housewife, mother, sister and dedicated to her Savior, Jesus Christ. Predeceased by sons, Jay and Wayne Chancy, granddaughter, Melissa, her parents; Everett & Ruth Roberts, brother, John E. Roberts, and sister in laws, Veronica & Harline Roberts. She is survived by husband of 62 years, Marshal Lester Chancy, grandaughter, Jessica (Tray), great grandchildren, Skye, Payden, and Maximus, sister, Betty (Buddy) Grimes, brothers, Charles (Mamie), Jack (Rosalee), Ken (Marcia) and 57+ nieces & nephews and their children. Visitation with family and friends will be 1:00 pm Friday, March 18, 2011 with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm at Wells Memorial Chapel with Reverend Joe Bowles officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Enon Cemetery.
