We were so sorry to learn of “Uncle Tom’s” death. We thought he was still at Sun City Hospices. I guess we should have been more attentive to the situation and called about him. Uncle Tom was a life time neighbor for Ginger and I. We loved him, and his family. I can still hear Aunt Theda sing alto in the choir, especially the song How Great Thou Art. Uncle Tom was always available to cut a swamp cabbage for us...one of my all time favorite foods. He even took the time to show our son Jamie, now to accomplish the task. He was a gentle man with a loving and kind heart. He was always ready with a smile and a hug. He was loved, because Christ loved him.
