YATES, Thomas E., age 82, of Plant City, passed away on October 13, 2015. Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Shirley Ann; sons: Roger Alan and James Lee; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. A veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, Tom served four years in the Navy aboard the USS Bonhomme Richard and then 16 years in the Air Force where he retired as a Master Sergeant. He then worked for GTE Communications for 25 years and was a life member of the DAV and VFW.
A visitation will be on Monday, October 19, 2015, 6pm-8pm at Wells Memorial Funeral Home in Plant City. A funeral service will be Tuesday, October 20, 2015, 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
