Virginia A Williamson
January 9, 1936 – January 1, 2021
Heaven gained a new angel today. My mom, Virginia Williamson, a courageous and devoted wife and mother. She lived a wonderful life growing up in the mid west before moving to Florida for the last 60 plus years of her life. She always carried herself with grace and a quiet confidence. She was always a mother and wife first , making sure Mark and I had opportunities in life and fun along the way.
She also was quite accomplished in business as a Vice President in banking for over 30 years with Sun Trust bank. Upon retirement over 20 years ago, she got involved in the local Christian women’s club and also loved sewing. She made many things on that old machine including some gifts for children in Guatemala.
The last 9 years were tough, as the battle with oral cancer began. 16 surgeries including full jaw replacement, she fought hard, fearless, and with grace. Ending in VICTORY in heaven just after the new year rang in. Made it to 2021 ! So glad Mark and I got to spend two great days with you in the end. You will be missed mom... and we are so proud and happy that you are reunited with dad for your birthday in heaven next week. They shared the same birthday, and dad has waited over 9 years to celebrate again together!
As believers we know your in a great place we call heaven and will see you again. We love you mom!!
