Zenas E Smith

Zenas Ellis Smith died at home July 23, 2011. Born Aug. 5, 1923. He worked for Union Carbide for 41 years. After retiring in 1986, he worked his orange grove up until the last few months of his life. He taught Sunday school most of his life and was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife Lillian Ray Smith whom will be laid to rest with him. He is survived by his daughter, Sherrell and son-in-law Jim Hoffmann of Houston. Step-son and daughter George & Joan Striker of Plant City. Grandson’s John & Christopher Masson and 8 great grand children. Also his sisters, Doris Hawthorne & JoNell Dykes.

Visitation at Wells Funeral Home, 1903 W. Reynolds, Plant City on Tues. July 26th from 6 to 8pm. Funeral service at Shiloh Baptist Church 905 W. Terrace Dr. Plant City on Wed July 27th at 11:00. Interment to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
