Aarne was the beloved husband of the late Lea Nykvist (married 59 years) and the late Mildred Stromen (married 9 years).
He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Linda (the late Richard), Diane (Brooke), Laura (Louis), Ron (Penny), Linda (Dave) Kennedy, Brian (Anna) Rice, David (Nora) Rice, and the late Michael (Susan) Rice. He also leaves behind a legacy of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dear friends.
In accordance with his wishes, a service will be held in the spring at Côte St. Charles Cemetery in Hudson, Quebec.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital. We are deeply grateful to the hospital staff for the exceptional care and respect they showed our father.
