“Lucky Al” set sail into the sunset on December 19. Born in Salford, England. Emigrated to Montreal on the RMS Franconia in 1954. Engineer, Teacher, Boat builder, Trumpet player. Brother to Barbara, Husband to Lilian (2016) and Annalisa (2017), Father to Shirley, Freda, Eric and Harry, Grandfather to nine. Friend to many. Alan was fond of his boats - cruising on the African Queen and sailing on the Cool Seas. He enjoyed a good laugh, ballroom dancing, going on cruises, and the fancy-dress parties in the bamboo “South Pacific” basement he built in his first home. Visitation and inurnment will be on January 31 at 2 p.m. at Collins Clarke Funeral Home, 222 autoroute 20, Pointe-Claire, Quebec H9S 3X6.
