It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander Cole on May 14, 2014 at the age of 84, at Centre Bayview in Pointe Claire. Beloved husband of the late Sheila Cole (née Laycock), father to Simon, Andrea and Sarah and grandfather to Cara. Brother of Walter and son of the late Thomas and Mary (née Kinirons). Alex will be lovingly remembered by his extended family and friends. Born in Dublin, Ireland, he arrived in Canada in 1964 and was employed with Air Canada from 1964-1985. After retirement, he continued his career as an engineering consultant. He was a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Quebec, The Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering, Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute and Fluid Power Society. He will be fondly and forever remembered as a gentle man of great integrity, curiosity and humour. Many thanks to all those who cared for him in his final years. He is and will be greatly missed.
