Anatoly will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Larissa Rayda, their three children Maria, Olga and Vlad, two grandchildren as well as his friends.
Anatoly was born and spent the beginning of his life in Zaporizhia (Ukraine) where he developed a deep passion for engineering and all kinds of outdoor activities.
A very strong mountain climber, he did many routes of the highest level in the Caucasus, Middle Asia and later in Alaska, after moving from Ukraine to Canada in 1997.
Very intelligent, good hearted and reliable person possessing remarkable technical and handy-man skills, he kept a busy and active lifestyle, worked on personal projects in his free time and was always making himself available to help his family members and friends. During the last 15 years, he remembered his strong passion and resumed the sport of orienteering with the Ramblers Orienteering Club, being a participant and prize winner of numerous provincial events. Anatoly ran his last orienteering race only the day before his passing.
A memorial service in honor of Anatoly’s life will be held on Sunday, October, 30th at 1 pm at Collins Clarke Macgillivray White Funeral Homes: 222, A20, Pointe-Claire, H9S 3X6.
