My sincere sympathy goes out to Mary's family. We taught together at LaSalle Catholic Comprehensive High School in the late 1970's and early 80's. Mary was a terrific teacher and mentor. I will always remember her fondly. We did meet recently at one of the Retirees' Dinners and shared memories.
I would like to offer the following meditation from ancient times, as a memorial to Mary.

I weave a silence on my lips,
I weave a silence into my mind,
I weave a silence within my heart.
I close my eyes to distractions,
I close my eyes to attentions,
I close my eyes to temptations.
Calm me, O Lord, as you stilled the storm,
Still me, Lord, keep me from harm.
Let all the tumult within me cease.
Enfold me, Lord, in your peace.

From my heart to yours,
Konrad Muncs

Dearest Brid,
Heartfelt condolences to you & your entire family on the loss of your beloved sister Mary. Your loving support and care for your sister is commendable - you were there for her when she needed you most and remained strong for her until the end - you were truly her "angel" on earth! What a truly special, compassionate and kind human being you are, my friend...and now that your sister has departed this life...may you find solace knowing that she is now YOUR angel in heaven! Though the 'hole in your heart' will never fully close, may time ease your sorrow and grief, so that one day you can remember only the good times you shared together - memories you can hold onto and cherish forever! If there is anything at all I can do for you during this difficult and challenging time, please know that I am here.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Brid...
Love, Lorraine & family
