Anthony Joseph Yakubosky

He went to Our Lady of Mount Royal, Marymount, and Loyola High School and decided to go to work right away. He delivered for King of the Pizza.

He then started in the brokerage business from the bottom up – runner to rater at Affiliated and Milgram. He had his mentor at Mendelssohn-Commercial who was Peter Martinelli who saw something special in this youth. He progressed further and started Intercontinental Tariff with Peter Ostapuk, Sam Fiorentino, Gary Pearl and Harvey Uline in 1976 which he continued until he sold to Kenmont Management.

In 1977 he married Kathie and they celebrated their life together for 42 years last September 2019.

He then did consulting for UPS and started Axxess in 2005. From there he went into partnership with Richard Gervais and they grew the company to what it is today.

He took great pride in his work and was never happier than when discussing issues and solutions. Caring about people that you work with was very important to him. As he said he was a people person.

Always remembered for his energy, love of life, and believing that each day should be lived to the fullest. We will miss him very much. There is an empty void where he was.

He is survived by his wife Kathie, his brother Danny (Sandra) and their children Nicolas and Laura (Daniel Burbela).

The visitation will be on August 22, 2020 at 10:00 – 3:00 at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White funeral home at 222 autoroute 20, Pointe Claire, QC H9S 3X6. A service will follow in the chapel at 4:00.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Fils d’Antoine et de Raymonde, Tony est né le 22 avril 1952 à Montréal.

En 1977, il épouse Kathie et en septembre 2019, ils célèbrent leurs 42 ans de vie commune.

Tony est allé à l’école secondaire Our Lady of Mount Royal, à Marymount ainsi qu’à Loyola avant de se lancer dans le monde du travail. C’est à ce moment qu’il devient livreur pour le Roi de la pizza.

Il débute ensuite sa carrière en courtage en douane en grimpant tous les échelons de messager à tarificateur chez Affiliated et Milgram. Peter Martinelli, son mentor chez Mendelssohn-Commercial, voit en lui un énorme potentiel et l’aide dans son développement de carrière. En 1976, il fonde Intercontinental tarif aux côtés de Peter Ostapuk, Sam Fiorentino, Gary Pearl et Harvey Uline jusqu’à la vente à Kenmont Management.

Par la suite, Tony occupe un rôle de consultant à la douane chez UPS avant de fonder Axxess International en 2005. Il s’associe ensuite à Richard Gervais et ensemble ils bâtissent et font croître l’entreprise que nous connaissons aujourd’hui.

Il était très fier de son travail et n’était jamais plus heureux que lorsqu’il faisait de la résolution de problèmes ! Tony était attentionné et il se souciait du bien-être de ses collègues et de son entourage.

Tous se souviendront de sa joie de vivre et de son énergie ! Il laisse un grand vide derrière lui et il nous manquera à tous !

Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Kathie, son frère Danny (Sandra) et leurs enfants Nicolas et Laura (Daniel Burbela).

Les visites funéraires auront lieu le 22 août 2020 de 10h00 à 15h00 au salon funéraire Collins Clarke MacGillivray White, 222 autoroute 20, Pointe-Claire, H9S 3X6.

Un service suivra dans la chapelle à 16h00.

Au lieu de fleurs, un don à la Société canadienne du cancer serait apprécié.
