Given the exceptional situation we are currently experiencing, due to a pandemic, it is still possible to receive condolences at the funeral home, but under the respect of the recommendations of the government, which are as follow:
- Every guest must show proof of vaccination through the Quebec Covid-19 passport with identification
- Respect the 2 meters of social distancing at all times;
- Respect the hygiene instructions (hand washing);
- Wearing a mask is mandatory;
- No one who has traveled in the past few weeks be present;
- No one with a symptom of COVID-19 be present.
Bruce Robert Mackay, of Montreal, Quebec passed away on Wednesday, November 17th after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was 70 years young.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Eileen, his son Robert and wife Jamie, daughter Kimberly and husband Nicholas as well as his adored grandchildren, Jacob, Jason, Emma and Audrey. Bruce is also survived by his brothers, Roy and wife Ann, Barry and wife Maggie and his many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He is predeceased by his devoted parents, Robert and Ruth Mackay.
Bruce will be remembered for his kind heart, signature laugh and boundless love for his family.
His wife and children extend their immense gratitude to the entire staff at CHSLD Bayview for their care and support over the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations to CHSLD Bayview in Bruce's honour would be greatly appreciated.
