Predeceased by Helen, his wife of over 50 years, cherished father of Stuart (Toni) and Douglas (Ines),
devoted grandfather of Nicolas, Alexandre, Theo, and Nolan. He will also be deeply missed by his sister
Dierdre (Robert), brother Donald (Barbara) and his much-loved nieces, nephews, and their children.
Proudly Scottish, Dermot was born on the Orkneys. He moved to England in the 60’s where he met
Helen and began his family before emigrating to Canada in 1974.
Dermot was known for his dedication to Scouting and the Ecomuseum, for his beer-making, and his
wicked sense of humour.
An informal celebration of Dermot’s life will be held at Kelly’s Pub at 88 Donegani Ave., Pointe Claire on
Saturday April 30 th , between 3:00 and 5:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ecomuseum (https://zooecomuseum.ca/en/one-time-donation/)
would be appreciated.
