Son of Paul Smith and Isabel Rogan, Don was born in Regina Beach, Saskatchewan. He came into the world as part of a large family of school teachers, eventually becoming a primary country school teacher himself. Years later, he joined the RCAF as a policeman, and then went on to become a consultative salesman with Moore Business Forms. Later on in life, he accepted opportunities in the advertising business and human resources fields. He followed his passions of teaching and counseling until his final days.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Renée; by his children, Francine (Aaron), Larry (Cindy), Steve (Barbara), Julien (Helen), Mylène.
He will also be missed by his sister Margaret and sister-in-law, Margit. He also leaves behind his extended family, and his many friends and colleagues.
The family will receive relatives, friends and colleagues at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Homes, 222, Highway 20, Pointe Claire, QC H9S 3X6, on November 3rd 2019 between 2:00 and 5:00 pm.
