My sincere condolence to the passing of Don.  He was a mentor, a teacher and a friend to my doctorate study.  He is also a true giant in the field of power systems and I will miss him always. Thank you for all you have done.

Just learned of Don's passing. So sorry for your Margaret. Don was a wonderful friend over the years. His sense of humor always picked me up. I thought of him often over the winter months and promised myself to visit as soon as the weather permitted the bike ride to Pointe Claire.

Don (que j’ai toujours appelé Monsieur McGillis!) a été mon premier chef de service à Hydro-Québec en 1973. Il a aussi été mon patron jusqu’en 1980. Et j’ai suivi ses cours à Concordia.
Il était un patron très humain, un guide et mentor et un ingénieur exceptionnel. Il m’a beaucoup appris sur tous les plans.
Toutes mes condoléances à son épouse, ses enfants et à toute sa famille et ses proches.
Je garde de lui un souvenir très ému.
