Remembering Rev. Doreen from her time as a student at Summerlea United in Lachine. It was a privilege and a pleasure to have her with us for that phase of her ministry.

My thoughts and prayers are with Doreen’s family at this time of loss. We connected through London Conference gatherings and I was always greeted with warmth and hugs. She served her church well and was ‘a good and faithful servant’.  Marilyn Hart

Condolences to your family. I knew Rev. Doreen from her time in Windsor / Essex. She was our supervising minister at Westminster United Church in Windsor for a time. We were also involved in Essex Presbytery and London Conference together.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful service with us. We were so glad to be a part of this special time.
Rob had mentioned about all the books his mom had. As I listened, I remember Doreen talking of how Doug had so many books and what was she to do with them. That’s funny how she had many too! 
She and Doug were both missed when they left and we had many great memories of their time here. For one, we had lots of fun with the Murder Mysteries that she wrote and rewrote. She always did an epilogue too, which she wrote and shared with us during the next day’s church service. There are many, many more warm memories!
Our condolences go to your whole family. That was so nice to have them both at the service today. They are together again!

I am so saddened to hear of Doreen's passing.  She was not only a colleague,  she was a dear friend.  As an ordained minister, she was passionate about her calling and truly committed to every congregation she served.  As a friend,  she was tremendously loyal.  I pray that her family and closest friends experience the generous and warm embrace of our Lord, whom Doreen loved so deeply. 


Our deepest sympathies to the Canavan family. Cameron and I were very close to Doug and Doreen and the boys.

As someone who went to school with Robert and Daniel, I would just like to share that Doreen's good character must have played a role in the good character of her sons! Sending our condolences, John W. Cloutier and family.

I was very sad to learn of Doreen's death and want to send my sympathy to Michael, Dan and Rob. My connection to your Mom and to your family goes back a long way to Union Church where your Mom and Dad were very active along with me and my husband Claude.  I also believe that Michael went to school with my daughter JoAnne so there was a connection there as well. 
May you find peace knowing that your Mom has gone to a better place and has been reunited with your Dad.

Michael, Daniel, Robert and families. I was sorry to learn that your mother, Doreen, died earlier this month.  Many people were blessed by her ministry in the congregations she served in Ontario.
