She was born on December 15, 1935 in Noranda, Quebec, to Mary Masson Smith and Robert Ward.
Elizabeth is predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Louis-Philippe Martin (May 30, 2019). She leaves behind her two daughters, Lorette ''Laurie'' Martin (Richard Rourke) and Diane Martin; her two grandchildren, Melissa Rourke (Mathew Correia) and Mathew Rourke (Stacey Coleman), and her three great-grandchildren; Bennett and Claire Correia and Miles Rourke. Elizabeth will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A private service to celebrate the life of Elizabeth will be held at a future date in Oakville, Ontario.
