Freda Schyle (Gross)

She was predeceased by her loving husband Walter Schyle, her brother Eric Gross (late Emily Parisella) and her youngest daughter Rita (late Robert Arsenault). Cherished mother of Margaret (late Norbert), Helen (Wayne), Richard (Anne-Marie).

She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Peter (Heike), Lisa (Alex), Onika, Nathalie (Pepeto), Mathieu (Samantha), Isabelle (Patrick), Danielle (Mario), Eric and Caroline.

Laughter and merriment from her great grandchildren Felix, Sonia, Benjamin, Kai, Nico, Mélodie and Myra, especially at Xmas and birthday gatherings brought joy to Omi's heart and a smile to her lips.

Born in Berlin, Germany, she emigrated to Canada with her parents in 1928, to build a new life. In addition to working and raising a family, Freda developed many interests and was an avid stamp collector, gardener, and a card-shark at the bridge table. A long time member of the German Society of Montreal she could be seen even in her very senior years, helping out at the annual bazaar.

She deeply touched the hearts of those fortunate to have met her.

A sincere thank-you to the medical staff, nurses and caregivers at Bayview Residence, Pointe-Claire.

Visitation will be held at Collins Clarke MacGillivray Funeral Home, 222 autoroute 20, Pointe-Claire, Qc, on Wednesday September 2nd, noon-4pm.
