

Peacefully, on December 22, 2019 in his 88th year at Lakeshore General Hospital; predeceased by his parents Clarence and Jesse (nee Galbraith), sisters Joan Pollock and Enid Churchill; sister in law Phyllis (nee Corlyon) and Roger Newell.
Ian is survived by his most cherished and beloved wife, companion in life for 61 years, Margaret (nee Corlyon), cherished children: Janet (Wes) of Acton, Katherine (Domenic) of Ottawa, James (Rachel) of Surrey, BC; grandchildren: Margaret, Erica (Jason); Daniel, Grace, William; Ethan and Emma; great grandchild: Kira; brother in law Gordon Pollock of Pte Claire, sister in law Shirley (nee Corlyon) Beach (George - deceased) of Kingston, and brother in law and sister in law Larry and Eveleen Corlyon of Metcalfe; 12 nieces and nephews and their families across Ontario and Quebec; and extended family
in Jersey and Guernsey, UK.
Will be greatly missed by his family, friends and extended family of Briarwood Presbyterian Church, golfing friends from Senneville and elsewhere, Wednesday morning men’s group, and the warm, and most dear community at Les Jardins Beaurepaire. Ian was a student and long term Business Manager of Lower Canada College in Montreal.
Heartfelt gratitude to the first responders in Beaconsfield who came to his aid, and Lakeshore General Hospital for their compassion and professionalism.
Memorial celebration to be held at Briarwood Presbyterian Church, 70 Beaconsfield Blvd, Beaconsfield, Quebec, H9W-3Z3 - Saturday, January 25 at 11am with luncheon reception and visitation to follow service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice are appreciated.
