Jean (Priscilla) Pollock (nee – McFadyen) (June 22 1933 – April 1 2019) passed away peacefully in her eighty-fifth year. Jean was married to Douglas Pollock (deceased) and they lived their lives in the West Island for 60 years. Jean is survived by all of her children - Bruce (Carolyn), Rod (Isabelle), Sheila (Bob), Michael (Julie), and Margo (John), her thirteen grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Jean grew up in Montreal, Toronto, Owen Sound and Oshawa. Once Jean graduated from the Toronto General as a Registered Nurse, she moved to Montreal to work and where she became Jean Pollock. Mom was a fantastic homemaker – The First Lady and Chief of Staff of 510. Organized and punctual, Jean devoted her life to supporting her husband, her children and grandchildren. Jean was an avid reader, gardener, skier and crafter. You would want Jean to captain all adventures, including trips to the Lakeshore Ski Club, Florida or the beach. Supportive and interested, Jean cared for all; with a special emphasis on dogs. In her later years she cherished traveling and wintering at her condo in Venice Florida.
The family would like to thank Nicole and Karen for their humanity, empathy and support. At the family’s request, donations can be made in Jean’s memory to the Girl Guides of Canada (www.girlguides.ca) or the Alzheimer's Society (www.alzheimer.ca).
The family will receive condolences on Sunday, April 7th from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Collins Clarke Funeral Home at 222 Autoroute 20, Pointe-Claire, QC H9S 3X6 (Cartier and Highway 20). Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 8th at 2:00 pm at Christ Church Beaurepaire at 455 Church Street in Beaconsfield, Quebec followed by a terrific reception at the Lord Reading Yacht Club at 260 Beaconsfield Boulevard, Beaconsfield, QC H9W 4A4
