It is with sadness that we announce the death of Leo (Lele) Oliver on Aug. 2 after a period of declining health at his home in Pointe Claire, Quebec. Leo was born in Saint John to Frank and Mary (Simpson) Oliver and was a proud “westsider”
Leo is survived by his husband and partner of almost 60 years, Michael Sauve. He is also survived by two brothers, Harris and Jack and his wife Pat (Alden). He is also survived by two special sisters-in-law, Georgie Godin and Nora Oliver. He was predeceased by his brothers, Joe, Greg, Floyd and Allan, as well as his baby sister Mary Earle and her husband Bill, and two sisters-in-law Anne (Estabrooks) and Beverly (McCluskey). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Service for Leo cannot occur until Aug. 14 due to COVID-19, but will be held from the DA Collins Chapel with Monsignor Doug Nicholson presiding.
Michael and his niece Grace will welcome visitors on Aug. 13 from 2-6.
Remembrances for Leo may be offered thru prayer. His was a life well lived!
