Lorraine was born to Napoleon Alfred D'Amour and Loretta Boudreau on January 1, 1930 in LaSalle, Quebec. Lorraine was the youngest of ten children. She never married. Lorraine was a teacher and principal in Lachine and touched the lives of thousands of students during her long career. After retirement, Lorraine was free to pursue her lifelong love of reading, as well as swimming in her beloved pool and bicycling in the West Island. She was a volunteer at CHSLD Bayview in Pointe Claire for almost twenty years.
Lorraine died on January 30, 2022, leaving behind many nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom thought the world of her. Lorraine believed in the importance of being determined. She was an organizer who enjoyed the company of many friends. Lorraine's nieces and nephews remember her as fun loving, one who encouraged learning through travel, physical exercise and helping others.
Lorraine will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She wished to be cremated. Due to the current Covid situation, a service will be held in spring.
