1922 – 2018
On April 26th Mary, daughter of Waterford Marler and Dorothy Harston Bancroft, passed away peacefully at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her brothers David and Hugh and sisters Jane, Eunice, Alice, Catherine and Frances.
Mary, in spite of her visual limitations, was a fiercely independent lady with an amazing attitude towards life. Never one to idle she enjoyed tennis with her pals at the Mount Royal Tennis Club, volunteered at the MGH and her church, played a mean game of bridge and was very rarely without a pair of knitting needles in her hands when sitting.
She will be sorely missed by her many nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service and reception, on May 16th at the Church of Saint John the Baptist, 233 St. Clare Avenue, Pointe Claire. Interment will take place at the Knowlton Cemetery.
