It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Norman Edward Davidson. Beloved husband to Madeleine (née St-Denis) for the last 50 years. Norman was a devoted father to Julie (Marc), Paul (Dino), and Philip (Pia). Cherished "Poppa" to Laura and "Grand-papa" to Lexie. Dear brother to Donald from Kelowna, BC. Predeceased by his siblings Jean, Joyce, Alan, Herbert, Gordon and Doreen. He also leaves to mourn several brother and sister-in-laws in Montreal, and many nieces and nephews located throughout Canada and the US.
He was a proud and dedicated employee of Procter & Gamble for 40 years and a loyal friend to many. He will be greatly remembered for his love of hockey. His passion was expressed through his involvement with the Pointe-Claire Oldtimers Hockey Club for 40 seasons as a player and coach, as well as coaching in minor leagues.
The family would like to thank Nova West Island for their kind support and compassion during Norman's illness.
The family will receive condolences on Thursday, October 14th, 2021 from 13:00 - 15:00 at the Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 222 Autoroute 20, Pointe-Claire, QC H9S 3X6. A celebration of his life shall be held privately following. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Montreal Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated in support of Paul Davidson who will be running the Lachine-Bonneville half-marathon fundraiser on October 17th in honour of his father.
