Nurse-in-Charge until her final shift, Rita passed away peacefully at CHSLD Pavillon Camille-Lefebvre, Lachine on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. Only child of the late
Albert and late Mabel(Ferguson) Berube of Sherbrooke, Quebec.
Served Montreal Children’s Hospital for 37 years, first as Head ER nurse and lastly in the OR. Retirement years included Vice-Queen of Strolling Red Hatters of Quebec Chapter, love of gourmet cooking and books, travel, and all animal species. Cherished friend for 47 years of Mary-Ann Browne which included her adopted Browne family. Eternal, heartfelt gratitude to the entire 2 East staff, and especially Dr. Audet, for their caring and professional family-centered expertise. Rita’s guidance and wisdom will be sorely missed by many friends. Any donations would be welcomed by the SPCA.
