Bob said goodbye to us on his own terms, peacefully and with no regrets. A self-made man, Bob established Bob Forest Systems Inc. (Mardin Safeguard) in Montreal and became a success both nationally and internationally. Bob and his beloved wife Helen excelled in business and instilled the same enduring values in their family.
Even while facing formidable medical challenges, Bob never forgot to enjoy life. His love of family, R/C planes and sports cars made his retirement years superbly full and enjoyable. Bob enthralled everyone at Senneville Yacht Club, MRCC, MAAC, Healy, MGA Car Club and the VEA with his jokes and often colorful yarns. Bob also had a love for music and listening to the sound of Sandrine’s voice helped him enjoy the peaceful moments. He will be missed at both family gatherings and at those special individuals and personal moments.
Bob’s treasure was his family. That mischievous twinkle in his eye said it all. Carrying on his legacy is his dear wife Helen (MacDonald), sons Robert (Susan Gaspari) and Jason (Sandrine Tewfik). Devoted Grandfather of Siena, Justin and Tyler. He will be deeply missed by his sister Helene (Carter Whittaker), nieces and nephews, cousins and a whole host of friends. The family would like to thank Doctor Michelle, her staff and Nurse Claudine at the Jewish General Hospital for helping Bob to enjoy his life to the fullest.
A celebration of life will be held next year. Your donations in Bob’s memory to the Jewish General Hospital, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada are appreciated. I would personally like to thank each and every one of you in advance for your thoughts, prayers and condolences as I won’t be able to reply to everyone. Please know I have taken the time to read each one and each one is cherished and appreciated.
