Bill was always friendly, kind and helpful when I joined the Rotary Club a few years ago. His knowledge of the Club History always amazed me, and I loved to speak to him and learn more about the history of the club.

Even though I am no longer in Montreal, I have taken over his wonderful Club Newsletter "The Lakeshorian" and will continue to put it together on his behalf and in his memory.

Dear June, I have fond memories of our times together. Bill always made me feel special with his winning welcoming smile and handshake. My year as Assistant Governor under his Governorship gave me the opportunity to get to know Bill and you better and to engage in an enlightening year of Rotary. It continued forever in my years in Rotary. There are so many wonderful memories that will help you and your family get through this difficult time. Although I cannot be there with you, my heart is heavy but always mindful of this generous human being who touched my heart. I am grateful for the years of friendship. Unfortunately I have a family funeral on Monday which does not allow us the opportunity to be with you. Arnold and I send our warm thoughts with love.

bill was a kind, compassionate individual who could be counted on for thoughtful advice, a listening ear and a smile or pat on the back when needed. His weekly Rotary club newsletters demonstrated his deep involvement and commitment to Rotary. He will be missed by all those fortunate enough to have known and worked with him.

What a kind and gentle man. The way we live our life will affect people( near and far) for generations to come. Bill's devotion to family and Rotary is an example of this. A life well lived.

Bill was a mentor for me during my term as DG for our District and had some excellent insights and advice. I am saddened by his loss and my deepest condolences to his family and Rotarians from his club. He worked tirelessly with his Rotary Club and will be remembered as one of the great Rotarians in our district.
