Winnifred Esther Stilwell (née Weiss), known by friends as Mimi, passed away at the Lakeshore General Hospital on Saturday, February 3rd at the age of 90. She was a woman of strong faith who faced death with an optimism that came from believing that, in death, she would meet her Saviour and be reunited with her beloved Gordie (husband of 54 years) and son Mike. She loved her family, spending time with friends, reading, gardening, bridge games, and had recently taken up bingo and "horse racing". Red, her toy poodle, was her faithful companion. Mimi will be greatly missed by children Larry (Gail), Candy (Don) MacFarlane, Rod (Tabitha), Wendy (David) Pilling, Dale (Casey) and honorary children Mike (Marie) Kudzia, Gary (Sue) O’Brien, and David Wambolt; grandchildren Dylan (Jessica), Leif, Jesse, Kerry (Warren), Dawn (Ed), Andrew (Melissa), Emily (John), Louisa (Matt), Liz (Ryan), Jessica (Tyler), Samantha (Gurneet), Angela (Brennan), Chelsea, Michaela, Hailey, Matthew (Serena), James, Christina (Shane), Jacob, Teresa, Simon, and Dominic; and great-grandchildren Olivia, Peyton, Quinn, Ian, Taya, Wesley, and Asher. Visitation will take place at Collins-Clarke Funeral Home 222, autoroute 20, Pointe-Claire, Québec on February 13 from 2pm - 4:00pm and 7pm - 9pm. Funeral will take place at St George’s Anglican Church, Ste Anne de Bellevue, Wednesday, February 14th at 2:00PM. Interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mimi’s memory to the charity of one’s choosing.
