Adeline V. (Tiberii) Lenti
Adeline Lenti passed away at The Court at Palm Aire in Pompano, Florida, on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the age of 96 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Lenti, who passed away in 2004. She was the daughter of Joseph V and Irene (Pellegrini) Tiberii. She was also predeceased by her sisters Balbina , Catherine, Delphina, and her brothers, Frank, Guido and Chester. She was born in Charlton, Massachusetts and graduated from Charlton High School and went on to business school where she learned office and managerial skills. Adeline and her husband, Frank, ran a successful car dealership in Southbridge for many years before moving to Lighthouse Pt. , Florida in 1972, where they again resumed their work in automobile sales for her husband and banking for Adeline.
Adeline grew up on a farm in Charlton where her hard-working parents farmed a large tract of land for a living. At the age of 8 years, Adeline and her mother travelled to Southbridge by horse and wagon a few times a week in the summer time over the old Harrington Road into Southbridge where they sold fruits and vegetables to people in the “Flat” section of Southbridge. At night, a family member would meet them on the road back and guide them home by lantern. Adeline was no stranger to hard work, and she believed that success could only be achieved through this effort. When Adeline retired from her career at the age of 75 years, she was highly respected as the Executive Assistant to the President of the Home Savings Bank of south Florida. Adeline is survived by her brother-in-law, Umberto Lenti, of Southbridge and her sister-in-law, Ada Manna of Italy, and many nieces and nephews and cousins who all descended from the Tiberii families of Charlton and Southbridge .
She and her husband were long-time parishioners of St. Ambrose Church in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, December 29, from the Kraeer Funeral Home with visiting hours from 11AM to Noon, followed with interment at
Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery in Pompano, Florida.
